A vast majority of Arlington County lives in a multi-unit building and more than half of the county rents.

Our mission is to provide a forum for education, advocacy, and a social network for the silent majority of Arlington County residents that live in rented homes or condos.

CORC is an advocacy organization but committed to non-partisanship. We encourage our membership to maintain an open mind and be welcoming to all.

MISSION

Provide a forum for education, advocacy, and social networking for Arlington County residents that live in rented homes or condos.

Current advocacy effort:

Request all multi-family residences follow the Governor’s mandate and CDC guidance to:

- Require masks in common spaces.

- Use sneeze guards to protect front desk staff.

- Clean frequently touched surfaces in common spaces more than once a day.

- Provide cleaning supplies in common spaces such as wipes in laundry rooms.

Ask multi-family residences contact residents via email, websites, text message, newsletters, or flyers to communicate information on safety requirements of the building.

Encourage Arlington County to proactively contact multi-family residences to inform them of the Governor’s mask mandate in multi-family buildings and of all relevant CDC guidance on preventative COVID-19 safety measures.

Distribute information to multi-family residences to encourage participation in Arlington County’s “We’re Covered” campaign to state clearly at entrances that face coverings are required indoors.

In rental buildings, request that amenity fees are returned to tenants since tenants have been barred from accessing those amenities for several months.
